Meet Ms. Bettina
An author, storyteller, community leader, humanitarian and the creator of Kindness Is Magic: Ms. Bettina & Hope.
She believes every person deserves to feel seen, valued, supported and loved. Her stories come from real experience helping children and families facing food insecurity, housing instability and hardship.
She does not simply write about kindness. She lives it.
Who is Ms. Bettina?
A real-life example of kindness in action
Through her books, public appearances, community outreach and work with children, she encourages people of every age to understand one powerful truth.
You do not have to be rich, famous or powerful to change someone’s life. You only have to care enough to begin.
Where her story began
One family. Seven dollars. One decision to help.
Ms. Bettina’s journey began during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. A family living in a local motel told her they needed food. She had no organization, no warehouse, no delivery truck and no funding — only about seven dollars.
$7

Thousands
of meals since
She went home and asked her community to prepare lunch bags — peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit, snacks, bottles of water. The next day she drove porch to porch, collected the donated meals and delivered them to families living in motels along the U.S. 192 corridor in Central Florida.
One family became many.
One meal became thousands.
One act of kindness became a community movement.

From one meal to a community movement
Embrace of Celebration, Inc.
As the need grew, Ms. Bettina kept showing up. She collected food, clothing, household supplies, school materials and hygiene products. She organised volunteers, formed partnerships and built relationships with families who often felt overlooked.
Her work became Embrace of Celebration, Inc., a Florida nonprofit that today serves thousands of people.

Why she created Kindness Is Magic
Helping children understand their own power
After years working directly with children and families, Ms. Bettina recognised that children need more than stories that entertain them. They need stories that help them understand:
- How to respond when someone needs help
- Why kindness requires action
- How empathy builds stronger friendships
- Why every child deserves respect
- How to include someone who feels left out
- How to stay hopeful in difficult times
- How small choices influence a community
- Why their voices and actions matter
Kindness is not weakness.
Kindness requires courage. Kindness requires awareness.
Kindness requires making a choice.
Kindness requires courage. Kindness requires awareness.
Kindness requires making a choice.

A message from Ms. Bettina
“I want every child to know that they matter. You do not have to wait until you are older to make a difference. You can begin today — with one smile, one kind word, one helping hand, or one decision to include someone who feels alone. That is where the real magic begins.”
