Effective 7/28/26
We want every family to be able to use this website, including disabled visitors and those using assistive technology. Children who are already excluded elsewhere should not be excluded here.
What we have done
- Body text meets the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast minimum of 4.5:1
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed
- Every interactive element has a visible keyboard focus indicator
- The site can be navigated by keyboard alone, including checkout
- Images and illustrations carry descriptive alternative text
- Tap targets are at least 44 pixels, which matters for small hands and limited motor control
- Motion and animation reduce automatically if your device requests it
- Text reflows and stays readable when enlarged to 200%
- Headings follow a logical order for screen readers
- Form fields have proper labels and clear error messages
Our target
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are not claiming full conformance, because that would be a claim we cannot yet verify across every page.
Known limitations
- Some printable activity sheets are image-based and are not screen-reader accessible. If you need an accessible version of any activity, ask and we will provide one.
- Content on Amazon is outside our control.
- Embedded social media content follows the accessibility of the platform it comes from.
Trouble completing an order?
If any part of checkout is difficult or impossible for you to use, email us and we will take your order directly. You should not have to fight with a form to buy a book.
Tell us if something does not work
If you cannot access something on this site, tell us what happened and what you were using. We will fix it, and in the meantime we will get you the content another way — read aloud, sent as plain text, or however is most useful to you.
