Our books and activities are made for children. This page explains, in plain language, how we protect children who visit this website. It is written for parents, guardians and educators.
The short version: we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. There are no child accounts on this site. Our games and activities do not save anything about the person playing them. Purchases must be made by an adult.
How the site is built
This is not just a policy. It is how the site actually works.
- No child accounts. Registration exists only for customers placing orders, and orders may only be placed by someone aged 18 or over.
- Activities collect nothing. Colouring pages, puzzles, mazes and games are designed to be printed and completed offline. Nothing is submitted, saved or scored.
- Kindness challenges stay at home. Feather charts and certificates are printed and coloured in. Progress is never sent to us and is never tied to a child’s name.
- The newsletter is for adults. Sign-up asks for a parent or guardian to subscribe. We do not knowingly add children.
- No behavioural advertising. We do not run advertising or retargeting trackers on pages aimed at children.
- No uploads. Children cannot upload artwork, photographs or messages to this site.
Purchases
Orders may only be placed by adults aged 18 or over. Checkout collects a billing address, a delivery address and payment details, and we assume the person providing them is the adult responsible for the order.
If a child has placed an order using an adult’s payment method without permission, contact us and we will cancel and refund it.
Parental consent
Because we do not collect personal information from children, we do not need to seek verifiable parental consent. If we ever introduce a feature that would require it, we will obtain that consent first, and explain it clearly on this page before the feature launches.
If a child has contacted us anyway
Children sometimes fill in forms they were asked not to. If a child under 13 has sent us personal information, email info@hopewings-media.com and we will delete it promptly. You do not need to explain yourself or prove anything to us.
Links away from this site
Some pages link to Amazon, to Embrace of Celebration, and to social media. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we do not control them. Please supervise younger children when they follow links off this site.
For teachers and librarians
Everything on the Play & Learn page can be printed and used in a classroom without any child providing information to us. If your school requires a data-processing statement for its own records, email us and we will provide one.
